General Description:

A clear, plastic, S-shaped bubbler that is commonly used by placing it within a seal at the top of a fermenter and filling it with water, sanitizer solution or alcohol.

The purpose of this device is to allow CO2 to escape whilst preventing oxygen, bacteria and wild yeast from entering the fermenter due to positive pressure and S-trap that is filled with water.

Additional Requirements:

We recommend purchasing our Grommet for Bucket Fermenter lids along with this airlock in order to create a seal point between the airlock body and the fermenter lid.

Alternatively, any seal that has a 9mm hole will perform the same function such as some top hat grommets.

Disclaimer:

This is the most common version of an airlock and is effective at its function, however it is difficult to clean when krausen or sediment gets trapped on the inside of it.
