General Description:

 

A simple beer making kit that consists of a concentrated, hopped liquid malt extract and a sachet of dried brewers yeast. This extract kit comes in the form of a large sachet with the yeast stuck to the bottom of it with hot glue.

 

Master Pint American Wheat is unique in that instead of relying purely on yeast flavour and maltiness, it adds quite a bit of hop flavour to the mix, giving this beer some fruity, citrussy notes in addition to the more traditional wheat beer characteristics.

Disclaimer:

 

It is recommended to add 1kg of sugar with the liquid, hopped malt extract when brewing it.

 

For the best brewing result we highly recommend using 1kg of our Dry Malt Extract to achieve a far better end result.  

 

Normal sugar will simply raise the alcohol level of the beer whilst Dry Malt Extract will intensify the colour of the beer, add body and mouthfeel to the beer and also raise the alcohol level of the beer.

 

Quick brewing Instructions:

 

  • Remove the yeast sachet and put it aside from the malt extract sachet/can.
  • Place the extract sachet/can in a container of hot or boiling water to soften the liquid on the inside.
  • Sanitize all your brewing equipment using a no rinse sanitizer.
  • Boil your 1kg of sugar or Dry Malt Extract in 3L water for 15 minutes to completely sanitize it.
  • Pour your boiled sugar/malt extract mixture in your sanitized fermenter and add the hopped extract from the sachet/can and mix these together thoroughly.
  • Top up the mixture with cold water up to the 20L or 23L mark of your fermenter depending on your fermenter size.
  • When the temperature is below 30°C, sprinkle the yeast from the sachet over the top of your liquid, close the fermenter and leave to ferment.
  • After the fermentation has ceased (Around 7 – 14 days after the yeast is added) Sanitize your beer bottles thoroughly using a no inse sanitizer.
  • Add your dextrose sugar to the beer or to the beer bottles (See dextrose description for instructions).
  • Fill your beer bottles, cap them and leave them for around 2 weeks to fully carbonate.
  • Chill, open and enjoy!
