General Description
Lavandula, commonly known as Lavender is a genus of around 47 known species of flowering plant, all part of the Mint family. Lavender is native to the old world and is commonly found in the Cape Verde, Canary Islands as well as Europe and has spread across to Northern and Eastern Africa and the Mediterranean, Southwest to India. Lavender has a very pungent, floral flavour and aroma, having a very sweet aroma with some lemon and citrus notes.
Use Cases
Lavender is often used in the making of a floral gin or liqueur.
Lavender is also commonly used as a spice or condiment in different dishes such as Pasta, Salads, dressings and desserts.

§ Storage
Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.
§ Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
