General Description
Nutmeg is the seed of several species of the genus Myristica. Nutmeg is a very common spice and is native to the Moluccas islands of Insonesia. Nutmeg is also cultivated on Penang island in Malaysa and in the Caribbean. The seeds are round, relatively large and brown when dried. Nutmeg has a warm flavour consisting of slightly nutty, sweet and woody flavours.
Use Cases
Nutmeg can be used to flavour a variety of alcoholic beverages, most notably it can be used to flavour certain beer styles such as Christmas ales and brown ales. Mutmeg can also be used to make certain spiced liqueurs.
Nutmeg is also commonly used in a variety of different dishes around the world, especially in some Asian and Caribbean quisine.

If consumed in excessive amounts Nutmeg can cause allergic reactions. In large doses nutmeg can also cause psychoactive reactions as well as convulsions, nausea, palpitations and more. Nutmeg is seemingly toxic to humans when concumed in excess thus it is recommended to consume nutmeg in small doses or to consult your doctor before use if you are unsure.

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.
§ Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
