General Description
Black peppercorn is the dried fruit of the black pepper plant that is a flowering vine. The fruit itself can be up to around 5mm in diameter and is what’s harvested from the plant for use as a spice and seasoning. The flavour of Black Peppercorn can be described as spicy, woody, terpy, warm and herbaceous.
Use Cases
Black peppercorn can be used in liquor to add some spice to a liqueur or spirit, most notably in some flavoured vodka.
Black peppercorn is used around the world in a massive variety of different quisine and accounts for around 35% of the world trade in spices. You would be hard pressed to find a culture that does not or has not use it in some form or another as it is well known for enhancing flavour in dishes.

A tablespoon of pepper contains moderate amounts of Vitamin K, around 13% of an average person’s Daily Value in fact along with around 10% of one’s daily value in Iron and 18% of one’s daily value of manganese!

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.
§ Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
