General Description:
Whirlfloc is a packet of ten tablets, that are off-white or light brown in colour, these tablets are commonly used to reduce sedimentation in beer by adding them in the last 5 minutes of the boil.

Whirlfloc reduces sedimentation by accelerating protein coagulation during the last bit of the boil, this allows the free floating proteins to stick together, become heavy and sink to the bottom of the boiling vessel.
The extract within Whirlfloc that makes all this happen is called carrageenan, which is a gelatine-like substance that naturally forms in Irish moss and is then extracted and put into this concentrated tablet form.
Use Instructions:
Use one tablet per 35 litres and let it boil for around 5 minutes before switching off the heat and cooling the wort.
