General Description
Cardamom / Cardamon / Cardamum is the spice made from the seeds of several plants from the Genera Elettaria and Amomum plants in the Zingiberaceae family of plants. The plants are native to the Indian Subcontinent and Indonesia. The Flavour of Cardamom pods can be described as an herbal warmth, much like a fragrant cross between eucalyptus, mint and pepper.
Use Cases
Cardamom is commonly used to make a tincture that is used to flavour cocktails. The pods can also be used to make a variety of spiced liqueurs.
Cardamom is a widely used spice that is used in cooking, most notably in Indian style dishes due to its rich aromatic qualities that compliment these food styles beautifully.
Cardamom is also commonly used in baking in Nordic countries and is also commonly used in Asia in both sweet and savoury dishes.

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.
§ Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
