A bottle of clear liquid that is used to preserve a pH meter electrode by covering the electrode with this solution during storage.
To cover the electrode, simply remove the “shoe” or “cover” of the electrode and fill it with the storage solution, then refit the shoe and store the electrode with the shoe covering it.
