General Description

Cloves are the dried, aromatic flower buds of the clove tree, these flower buds are very well known for its intensely aromatic flavour that can be described as a subtly sweet flavour that lends plenty of warmth to any introduction.

Use Cases

In liquor cloves are generally used to add flavour to particularly spicy liqueurs.

In food cloves have been and are used in a wide variety of Asian, Mediterranean and African cuisine. This included foods such as curries and marinades.

Cloves tend to pair well with other rich, slightly sweet spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.

§                     Storage

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.

§                     Shelf life

These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
