General Description

Hailing from Prunus Spinosa, known as Blackthorn or sloe, Blackthorn Leaves come from the same plant as sloe berries and share a similar yet much more subtle flavour profile with tartness and bitterness.

Use Cases

Blackthorn Leaves can be used to make some herbal or fruity liqueurs, often in tandem with the berries or on their own for a much more subtle flavour addition.

Blackthorn Leaves are also used to make a tea which introduces these subtle sloe flavours into a relaxing, hot beverage.

§                     Storage

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.

§                     Shelf life

These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
