General Description
Vienna Malt is a form of malted barley that is most commonly used as a Base Malt either on its own or in tandem with another Base to create malty lagers or ales. Most recipes may contain around 75% or more Base Malt whilst the rest is comprised out of different specialty malts.
Characteristics
When used as a base, Vienna malt imparts strong, malty-aromatic characteristics in beer. When isolated Vienna malt will produce a pale-yellow, malty product.
Used primarily as a base in a variety of Lager and Pilsner styles with medium body. When used as a specialty malt, Vienna will help accentuate the maltiness of a brew.

Storage
Keep product in an airtight container away from pests. If product is milled, it is best to use it within two weeks. For long term storage, it is best to keep the product unmilled until use.
Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
