General Description
Munich Malt is a form of malted barley that is most commonly used as a Specialty Malt to enhance the robust malty flavour of a beer. Most recipes may contain around 25% or less Specialty Malt to enhance certain characteristics whilst the rest is comprised out of a Base Malt for the fermentable sugar.
Characteristics
When used as a specialty malt, Munich Malt enhances the malty characteristics of a brew. Though possible, it is rarely used as a true base as the malty character can become quite overwhelming.
Used in a variety of different beers to enhance their characteristics. Mostly applicable to more robust flavoured beers.

Storage
Keep product in an airtight container away from pests. If product is milled, it is best to use it within two weeks. For long term storage, it is best to keep the product unmilled until use.
Shelf life
These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
