Saccharomyces pastorianus is the famous Weihenstephan bottom fermenting yeast strain from Germany. The aromatic profile is floral and fruity and gives clean flavors. High flocculation with fast sedimentation makes this a very popular yeast to be used in all lager beers. Pitch the yeast directly in the fermentation vessel on the surface of the wort at the fermentation temperature. Fermentation Temperature range 10°C to 22°C Apparent attenuation 80% Flocculation and sedimentation High Viability > 1 x 1010 cfu/g Storage Below 18°C. For short periods not exceeding 7 days there is an exception to this rule.Do not use soft or damaged sachets.
