General Description

35L Gen 2 Snub Nose Pressure Fermenter - A low profile 35L conical fermenter tank that is the best closed bottom fermenter on the market for this price, performance and reliabiliy.

The conical shape helps stack yeast at the bottom and minimises liquid contact with the trub from your fermentation.

This unit can be used by brewers to ferment their products under pressure, which delivers a much crisper, more neutral fermentation character than would otherwise be possible only if one were to invest in temperature control.

Brewers can also pressurise the vessel up to 35psi to carbonate and dispense direclty from Fermentasaurus like a keg! Alternativley brewers can transfer under pressure to stainless kegs without oxygen exposure.

More Information:

Keg King highly advises using homebrew-grade cleaning chemicals like phosphoric acid-based sanitisers and non-caustic cleaners. Follow the recommended dilution rates on the product labels or from reputable homebrew books such as How To Brew by John Palmer.

Phosphoric acid sanitisers should have the pH range between 2.2 - 2.8. This is about a 1.5 - 2ml of sanitiser in 1L of water. Above the pH of 2.8, the sanitiser fails the 30-second test to prevent microbial growth. Below 2.2ph range, the sanitiser will affect the flavour of beer.

Disclaimer:

Heat does more damage to PET fermenters than chemicals. At  55 degrees Celsius, the PET will soften and deform permanently. It is best to allow hot cleaning solutions to cool down to at least 30 degrees C before use.

Adhering to these recommendations will ensure the integrity of your fermenter tank for its useable life.

Pressure fermentation, although a cost effective and relatively good substitute for temperature control, is not a perfect substitute, thus it is recommended to use pressure fermentation in tandem with temperature control to achieve optimal results.

Ball Locks and Spunding Valve not included

For pressure fermentation a Spunding Valve or Pressure Release Valve (PRV) will need to be purchased additionally.

10 psi PRV for Ale

15 psi PRV for Lager
