General Description

Oranges are a very well known variety of fruit and the trees of said fruit are native to Southern Chine, Southeast India and Myanmar, but have naturalised to be grown all over the world. Sweet oranges are what we typically think of when we describe citrus and the dried peel of the sweet orange have a citrusy, sweet flavour and aroma.

Use Cases

Sweet orange peel can be used in a variety of different alcoholic beverages but most notably it is often used in the brewing og Witbier and the production of Citrus gin.

In food production sweet orange peel is often used as a flavouring, especially in the making of essences and different types of sweets, syrups, gelatine and many other food related products.

§                     Storage

Keep packet sealed/closed tightly after opening, keep in a cool, dry place and away from pests.

§                     Shelf life

These are dried ingredients and should not spoil in any reasonable time frame provided storage conditions are met, however some flavour and viability may be lost over long periods (Several months) of storage.
